What
is an “CPPA Director”?
You can be a member as part of our National (and Worldwide) Network, but
if you want to be a little more involved and be a servant leader (facilitator of
CPPA in your area). You can do that
by letting me know and staying active with reaching other pool players.
It will work like this. We
will actually in time have: Country Directors, Regional Directors, Area
Directors, and City Directors.
We are ready for that to all happen as we grow!
Currently, we call all Directors – Area Directors.
This is what it will mean as we grow:
Country Director
will be Servant Leader over the country he is from.
He will also stay in touch with all the Regional Directors in his country
for fellowship, encouragement, discipleship,
and evangelism, etc.
Regional Director
will be Servant Leader over a Region in his country.
For example in the USA we will have our country sectioned off into likely
5 Regions. He will also stay in
touch with all the Area Directors in his region for fellowship, encouragement,
discipleship, and evangelism, etc.
Area Director
will be Servant Leader over a Area in his country.
Covering more than One state.
For example: Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and
Tennessee. He will also stay in
touch with all the State Directors in his area for fellowship, encouragement,
discipleship, and evangelism, etc.
State Director
will be Servant Leader over a State in his country.
Covering that state. He will
also stay in touch with all the City Directors in his state for fellowship,
encouragement, discipleship, and
evangelism, etc.
City Director will be Servant Leader over a City of his country. Covering that city. He will also stay in touch with all members in his city for fellowship, encouragement, discipleship, and evangelism, etc.
Also if you are in a country that does not have a lot of Regional
Directors, you would also serve as Regional director and thus stay in touch with
all the Area Directors in his region, and if there were not a lot of Area
Directors, you would also serve as an Area Director and thus stay in touch with
all the State Directors in his area, and finally if there were not a lot of
State Directors in your area, you would also serve as a City Director and thus
stay in touch with all members in that city.
If you only want to be a City Director, that would be your only
responsibility. But if you wanted
to be a Country Director, initially you might be responsible with staying in
touch with ALL members in your country until membership grew.
As it grows then that would put some servant leaders in other Director
positions so you would not have to stay in touch with ALL the members in your
country anymore.
Currently, in the broad sense we use the term “AREA DIRECTOR”, but if
you want to be a leader at one of these levels specifically, just let me know!
In
a nutshell, if you want to help facilitate CPPA in your area, then we ask that
you prayerfully consider being an Area Director.
We
also ask that ALL Directors stand by this creed:
"The
Competitor’s Creed"
I am a Christian first and last.
I am created in the likeness of
God Almighty to bring Him glory.
I am a member of Team Jesus Christ.
I wear the colors of the cross.
I am a Competitor now and forever.
I am made to strive, to strain,
to stretch and to succeed
in the arena of competition.
I am a Christian Competitor
and as such, I face my challenger
with the face of Christ.
I do not trust in myself.
I do not boast in my abilities
or believe in my own strength.
I rely solely on the power of God.
I compete for the pleasure of
my Heavenly Father, the honor of Christ
and the reputation of the Holy Spirit.
My attitude on and off
the field is above reproach -
my conduct beyond criticism.
Whether I am preparing,
practicing or playing;
I submit to God's authority
and those He has put over me.
I respect my coaches, officials,
teammates and competitors
out of respect for the Lord.
My body is the temple of Jesus Christ.
I protect it from within and without.
Nothing enters my body that
does not honor the Living God.
My sweat is an offering to my Master.
My soreness is a sacrifice to my Savior.
I give my all - all of the time.
I do not give up. I do not give in.
I do not give out. I am the Lord’s warrior -
a competitor by conviction
and a disciple of determination.
I am confident beyond reason
because my confidence lies in Christ.
The results of my efforts
must result in His glory.
LET THE COMPETITION BEGIN.
LET THE GLORY BE GOD'S.
This
creed is NOT original with CPPA but comes from
“Fellowship
of Christian Athletes”
We are asking that if you can’t
agree with the essence of their creed that you NOT become a Director in CPPA as
their Creed says what Directors should be able to say.
This is a good creed for all members to
agree too! LET
THE GLORY BE GOD'S!
