"CPPA - Outside of the pool hall and into homes"

I have had a struggle at times with CPPA being primarily in the pool halls and have tried to get it also into homes.   This has potential and was used by me and my wife.  I would have members from my church over for a time of fellowship and pool.   Also, my wife and I invited a couple or couples over for dinner and pool.   I have made friends with one of these players on an APA team.   There seems to be no place like home to build relationships.  They are willingly on your turf - LOL!!!  Our pool table is the LORD's and we use it for HIM!

This portion of CPPA ministry would be made up of local churches and play at different members' homes in the area who have pool tables.

What a great way to fellowship and also invite someone into a Godly pool environment.

We are going to encourage members to consider offering this to their local churches.

This has many benefits!

1. People adversely affected by smoking, alcohol, gambling, worldly music, etc., can still play pool.

2. People can join in on the vision of CPPA without going to pool halls.

3. More respect and support from local churches.

4. Bring denominational walls down AND love each other because of Jesus, and at the same time enjoy pool.

5. An opportunity to bring a lost or backslidden person into our Jesus blessed environment.   Most like it!!!   Great One-to One Evangelism.

6. Those called OUT of the bar lifestyle can once again play pool.

7. Much needed prayer, fellowship, and Bible Studies can come out of these groups.

So if you have a pool table at home, why not use it for Godly purposes.

NOTE: If you do this please, please, please,  keep the environment at your home as one that would please God!

Does this effect our mission in pool establishments? Absolutely not!  It is just another way we can glorify God with the fun game of pool and ministry and reach out to more people.

We still encourage all who are called to it, to form teams in the secular leagues and to attend and participate in local and national tournaments.

Hope to hear from some of you out there who will consider "pool in your home" and letting local churches know about it.
